My wife and I had an amazing time in Namibia. Firstly, Chris was fantastic in helping decide on an itinerary, which involved over 50 emails and was helpful with all of them. The organisation was professional, the staff helpful, friendly and were always available. Would like to give a big shout out to Rodney, who was our guide in Damaraland. He was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and was hard to say goodbye to when we left. I highly recommend Namvic, and hope to use them again in the future.
In my experience the standard of a company is determined by two things, its staff and equipment and have found that Namvic has the best of both.. The guide I met was highly professional and passionate and the vehicle of top standard for tours.
Excellent service, guides,chauffeurs.
Namvic tours are an excellent company to use to see Namibia. My husband and 19 year old son took at 15 day tour of Namibia using Namvic tours. We took the option of a private guided tour. 11 days of our tour was staying in lodges/hotels and we had four days camping. The mix was a great way of experiencing sleeping under the stars as well as comfortable lodges. When I say camping, it was camping with all of the amenities. Great tents and camp beds. We arrived early in the morning at Windhock and were met by our guide at the airport, who assisted my son buy a MTC sim card so he could keep in touch with his friends in Australia. Our guide then transported us to the hotel, which was located in the centre of the town. Whilst he offered us an option of a day trip to a local community we chose to spend the day in the town. Next morning it was off to Sossusvlei and Sesriem and our first two nights of camping. The sand dunes are amazing and reminded me of parts of Australia (Alice Springs and Broome). The nights at the camp were very cold (remember to take some warm socks) but the location, sunsets and starry skies made up for this. Our guide was a reasonable cook and we were well feed on barbeque meat and salad. We then headed to Swakopmund for three nights, here my son experienced sand boarding. We also did a little quad biking on the amazing sand dunes and enjoyed dining at the local restaurants. Then it was off to Brandberg, here we encountered the desert elephants, we were so close I felt I could touch them. The lodge at Brandberg had good facilities, accommodation and food and the staff provided us with entertainment by singing some local songs. When then headed to Etosha National park, here we spent one day camping and two nights at a lodge just outside the park. The special part of Etosha was the lack of crowds. We were in Etosha during peak season and lodges and camping facilities were busy but driving around the park it felt like there were only a few other people around. It was then off to the Caprivi Strip with two nights in lodges one which had a resident Hippo and the other on the banks of the Chobe River and one nights camping by the river. For us the advantage of having a guide was his ability to spot the wildlife along the trip and advise on local customs, industries and people and the peace of mind that if we needed anything our guide was there to assist. We finished our tour at Victoria falls and the falls did not fail to meet our expectations. Thank you Namvic for putting together such and excellent itinerary and guide (Ryno), it was the trip of our lifetime and we will be back to Namibia, it is a beautiful place.
